Orange and Black Outdoor Lightroom Preset in 2023

Capturing a moment in time can be a magical experience. Whether you're just taking photos of your family, or creating stunning travel photos to share on social media, the camera is a great way to preserve memories.

But sometimes it's hard to get the image just right. You might notice that it's too dark or overexposed, not sharp enough, or tilted at an awkward angle. To help you with these common problems and get your photo looking its best without needing any editing skills of your own, this post will show how you can use one preset to edit outdoor photos in Lightroom.

Why do I need presets?

Presets are a preset of settings that you can use to edit your photo. They're a helpful starting point to quickly edit a photo and make it look the best it can be. You might find that you like one preset better than another, or on occasion create your own version of a preset. All Lightroom presets are available for free on this website.

When taken outside with direct sunlight, many photos tend to get overexposed, so the first thing I recommend is opening your image in Lightroom mobile and enabling "Exposure" at -0.30 (this will darken your image).

Next, open the Preset panel on Lightlight Mobile by tapping "Edit" at the top right corner of your screen. Scroll down to find my preset called "Landscape" and tap on it to apply it to your photo. If you want some extra detail in your photo, then also enable Detail at +40 before tapping Edit again. This will brighten up any shadows in your image without making them too bright.

Now tap "Done" and check out how well this preset worked with just a few seconds of editing!

# How do I know if it looks good?

When editing a photo, it is always important to preview the changes before saving them to make sure they are exactly what you want them to be. Click on the checkmark at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen when viewing your photo after applying the preset to see a full-screen preview of what the photo will look like once finished.

How to use the preset and edit your photos

The preset is called "dark and orange." It's a free download on Dropbox. To use the preset to edit your photos, first open Lightroom and import your photo. Next, go import the preset file into the Lightroom app. Click on the 'settings' tab in the top right of the screen and choose 'copy.' Finally, paste the settings to the image you want to edit.

Now that you have your photo imported, it will automatically be edited with this preset and look fantastic! If you want to make any adjustments or edits before saving and sharing, please feel free to do so! But if not, just save your photo and share it with your friends.
